July 2026 Passenger, Cargo Traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

AUSTIN, TEXAS – July 2026 was the second busiest month ever for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). During the month, AUS serviced 2,102,655 departing and arriving passengers, reflecting the continued demand for air travel and the airport’s role as a vital gateway for Central Texas and beyond.

As AUS continues to grow and advance its Journey With AUS expansion program, the airport remains focused on creating the capacity and infrastructure needed to serve the region for generations to come.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for July 2026 was up 3.27% compared to July 2025.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for July 2026 was 2,102,655, up 3.27% compared to July 2025. July 2026 enplanements totaled 1,051,891, up 3.58%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 912,427, up 9.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 411,666, up 10%; American Airlines passengers totaled 258,849, down 19.8%; United Airlines passengers totaled 253,788, up 10%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 62,334, down 11.3%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 45,351, down 6.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 32,988, up 312.5%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 31,676, down 3.7%; British Airways passengers totaled 28,454, up 11.6%; Air Canada passengers totaled 16,634, up 3.5%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 10,379, up 0.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 9,625, down 10.2%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 7,293, up 7.7%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 6,769, up 30.9%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 5,324, up 33.5%; Porter Airlines passengers totaled 4,119; WestJet passengers totaled 2,761, down 23.4%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,140, up 4.9%; and Cayman Airways passengers totaled 1,078.

July 2026 air cargo totaled 22,347,022 lbs., down 1.64% compared to July 2025.

International air cargo totaled 2,381,080 lbs., up 4.48% compared to July 2025.

Air Transport International carried 6,314,897 lbs., down 34.5%; Federal Express carried 4,374,477 lbs., up 5.1%; Sun Country Airlines carried 3,418,179 lbs., up 104.3%; and United Parcel Services carried 2,765,197 lbs., up 1.4%.

Air Services transferred 0 lbs. of mail, down 100%; and 3,436,659 lbs. of belly freight, up 10.24%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,188, up 4.56%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 23,517, up 2.68%.

January – July 2026

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – July 2026 was 12,904,094, up 4.36% compared to January – July 2025. January – July 2026 enplanements totaled 6,477,207, up 4.26%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 5,400,894, up 5.7%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 2,439,632, up 15.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 1,811,467, down 12.1%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,673,985, up 8.8%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 387,628, down 3.9%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 318,439, up 13.4%; British Airways passengers totaled 157,001, up 8%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 148,733, up 198.6%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 125,038, down 40.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 113,993, down 14.7%; Air Canada passengers totaled 76,202, up 4%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 58,822, down 2.8%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 49,910, down 3.8%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 47,380, up 4.7%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 41,528, up 15.8%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 29,224, up 17.5%; Porter Airlines passengers totaled 8,770; WestJet passengers totaled 6,212, down 33.1%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 5,968, down 8.6%; Cayman Airways passengers totaled 2,368; ITA Airways passengers totaled 283; Gridiron Air passengers totaled 263; Titan Airways passengers totaled 111; Omni Air International passengers totaled 94; Canadian North passengers totaled 64; KaiserAir passengers totaled 50; and Chrono Jet passengers totaled 35.

January – July 2026 air cargo totaled 155,274,106 lbs., down 1.15% compared to January – July 2025.

International air cargo totaled 16,645,150, down 5.41%.

Air Transport International carried 54,446,486 lbs., down 11.7%; Federal Express carried 27,652,996 lbs., up 1.9%; Sun Country Airlines carried 20,356,511, up 64.1%; and United Parcel Services carried 18,404,512 lbs., up 4.2%.

Air Services transferred 75,082 lbs. of mail, up 92.39%; and 21,096,460 lbs. of belly freight, down 3.39%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 25,246 for January – July 2026, up 6.48%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 159,840, up 6.05%.

About Journey With AUS
Journey With AUS is the Austin-Bergstrom Airport Expansion and Development program. The program is a strategic, phased approach to guiding construction and improvement projects, including select 2040 Master Plan projects and near-term improvements to address record-breaking growth at AUS. Journey With AUS projects will improve the passenger experience and meet the rising demand for air service at AUS through optimizing the Barbara Jordan Terminal through improvements that accommodate forecasted demand and enhance operations; expanding infrastructure to increase gates; constructing a new midfield concourse, and connecting tunnel. Driving regional economic recovery and supporting Austin’s growth is a primary goal of the program. The expansion program will make ~$400 million in funding available for small businesses.
