June 2026 Passenger, Cargo Traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

AUSTIN, TEXAS – June 2026 marked another milestone for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) as the airport set a new record for its busiest month ever. During the month, AUS serviced 2,102,853 departing and arriving passengers, reflecting the continued demand for air travel and the airport’s role as a vital gateway for Central Texas and beyond.

As AUS continues to grow and advance its Journey With AUS expansion program, the airport remains focused on creating the capacity and infrastructure needed to serve the region for generations to come.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for June 2026 was up 4.4% compared to June 2025.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for June 2026 was 2,102,853, up 4.4% compared to June 2025. June 2026 enplanements totaled 1,063,932, up 3.98%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 916,510, up 10.9%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 401,879, up 11.7%; American Airlines passengers totaled 275,212, down 13.3%; United Airlines passengers totaled 252,585, up 10.3%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 61,017, down 11.2%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 45,572, down 9%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 30,799, down 4%; British Airways passengers totaled 29,834, up 15.1%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 26,929, up 241.7%; Air Canada passengers totaled 16,331, down 1.6%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 10,622, up 16.9%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 8,846, down 12.1%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 8,426, down 4%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 6,394, up 31.3%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 4,742, up 19.9%; Porter Airlines passengers totaled 3,717; WestJet passengers totaled 2,104, down 44%; Cayman Airways passengers totaled 872; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 351, down 31.2%; and Titan Airways passengers totaled 111.

June 2026 air cargo totaled 20,844,561 lbs., down 4.09% compared to June 2025. International air cargo totaled 2,230,933 lbs., down 2.71% compared to June 2025.

Air Transport International carried 5,984,454 lbs., down 35.6%; Federal Express carried 4,140,712 lbs., up 11.6%; Sun Country Airlines carried 3,041,805 lbs., up 72.1%; and United Parcel Services carried 2,797,437 lbs., up 17.5%.

Air Services transferred 73,355 lbs. of mail, up 5,927.53%; and 3,281,315 lbs. of belly freight, up 2.78%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,196, up 4.68%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 23,460, up 3.8%.

January – June 2026

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – June 2026 was 10,801,439, up 4.58% compared to January – June 2025. January – June 2026 enplanements totaled 5,425,316, up 4.39%.

January – June 2026 air cargo totaled 132,927,084 lbs., down 1.07% compared to January – June 2025.

International air cargo totaled 14,264,070, down 6.88%.

Air Transport International carried 48,131,589 lbs., down 7.4%; Federal Express carried 23,278,519 lbs., up 1.3%; Sun Country Airlines carried 16,938,332 lbs., up 57.8%; and United Parcel Services carried 15,639,315 lbs., up 4.7%.

Air Services transferred 75,082 lbs. of mail, up 92.4%; and 17,659,801 lbs. of belly freight, down 5.66%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 22,058 for January – June 2026, up 6.76%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 136,323, up 6.65%.

About Journey With AUS
Journey With AUS is the Austin-Bergstrom Airport Expansion and Development program. The program is a strategic, phased approach to guiding construction and improvement projects, including select 2040 Master Plan projects and near-term improvements to address record-breaking growth at AUS. Journey With AUS projects will improve the passenger experience and meet the rising demand for air service at AUS through optimizing the Barbara Jordan Terminal through improvements that accommodate forecasted demand and enhance operations; expanding infrastructure to increase gates; constructing a new midfield concourse, and connecting tunnel. Driving regional economic recovery and supporting Austin’s growth is a primary goal of the program. The expansion program will make ~$400 million in funding available for small businesses.
