AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for April 2026 was up 3.03% compared to April 2025, with 1,808,534 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for April 2026 was 1,808,534, up 3.03% compared to April 2025. April 2026 enplanements totaled 917,326, up 3.35%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 751,704, up 2.3%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 342,763, up 13.3%; American Airlines passengers totaled 263,466, down 11.8%; United Airlines passengers totaled 239,039, up 11.1%;  Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 54,935, up 11.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 40,507, down 9.6%;  Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 26,210, down 5.5%; British Airways passengers totaled 21,981, up 1.2%;  JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 18,512, up 142.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 11,107, down 24.2%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 8,122, down 0.5%;  Air Canada passengers totaled 7,492, up 4.2%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,518, up 17.3%;  Copa Airlines passengers totaled 5,651, up 27.1%;  Lufthansa passengers totaled 5,132, down 36.3%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 4,052, up 14.4%;  Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,293, down 69%; and KaiserAir passengers totaled 50.

April 2026 air cargo totaled 23,191,424 lbs., down 2.91% compared to April 2025.
International air cargo totaled 2,516,678 lbs., down 30.23% compared to April 2025.

Air Transport International carried 8,517,580 lbs., down 6.4%; Federal Express carried 4,203,076 lbs., up 4.2%; United Parcel Services carried 2,807,867 lbs., up 0.3%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 2,754,125 lbs., up 54.9%.

Air Services transferred 0 lbs. of mail, down 100%; and 3,101,205 lbs. of belly freight, down 8.97%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,608, down 3.97%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 23,241, up 3.86%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – April 2026 was 6,698,829, up 5.01% compared to January – April 2025. January – April 2026 enplanements totaled 3,336,994, up 4.98%.

Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 2,732,439, up 3%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 1,242,304, up 21%; American Airlines passengers totaled 984,126, down 11.5%; United Airlines passengers totaled 910,170, up 7.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 204,865, up 1.2%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 184,819, up 33.7%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 124,396, up 21.7%; British Airways passengers totaled 69,858, up 2.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 67,864, up 163.6%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 33,655, down 30.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 32,010, down -1.7%; Air Canada passengers totaled 27,695, up 6.5%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 24,374, up 13.5%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 22,160, up 7.8%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 19,030, down 17.2%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 14,848, up 10.7%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 3,462, down 9.8%; ITA Airways passengers totaled 283; Gridiron Air passengers totaled 263; Omni Air International passengers totaled 94; Canadian North passengers totaled 64; and KaiserAir passengers totaled 50.

January – April 2026 air cargo totaled 89,821,893 lbs., up 0.61% compared to January – April 2025.

International air cargo totaled 9,945,103, down 6.94%.

Air Transport International carried 34,561,683 lbs., up 5.5%; Federal Express carried 15,141,736 lbs., down 0.4%; Sun Country Airlines carried 10,645,645 lbs., up 54.5%; and United Parcel Services carried 10,237,379 lbs., up 3.1%.

Air Services transferred 1,064 lbs. of mail, down 97.19%; and 11,259,051 lbs. of belly freight, down 9.5%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 14,966 for January – April 2026, up 5.71%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 88,739, up 7.65%.

About Journey With AUS
Journey With AUS is the Austin-Bergstrom Airport Expansion and Development program. The program is a strategic, phased approach to guiding construction and improvement projects, including select 2040 Master Plan projects and near-term improvements to address record-breaking growth at AUS. Journey With AUS projects will improve the passenger experience and meet the rising demand for air service at AUS through optimizing the Barbara Jordan Terminal through improvements that accommodate forecasted demand and enhance operations; expanding infrastructure to increase gates; constructing a new midfield concourse, and connecting tunnel. Driving regional economic recovery and supporting Austin’s growth is a primary goal of the program. The expansion program will make ~$400 million in funding available for small businesses.
